Description

Delicious puff pastry filled with creamy cheese and fresh asparagus, perfect as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry (Thawed)
  • 1 bunch Asparagus (Trimmed)
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 large Egg (Beaten)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a spoonful of the cheese mixture onto each rectangle of pastry.
  5. Place 2-3 asparagus spears on top of the cheese mixture and fold the pastry over to enclose the filling.
  6. Seal the edges with a fork and brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  7. Place the bundles on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

  • For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or spices to the cheese mixture.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
