- 1 (32 oz) bag of frozen tater tots
- 1 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook Bacon: In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on a paper towel and crumble into pieces.
- Mix Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Prepare Casserole: In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the tater tots evenly. Pour half of the soup mixture over the tater tots. Sprinkle with half of the bacon crumbles and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Layer Again: Add another layer with the remaining tater tots, followed by the rest of the soup mixture, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Uncover and Finish Baking: Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tater tots are golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

- Crispier Tots: For extra crispy tater tots, you can pre-bake them for 10-15 minutes before assembling the casserole.
- Vegetarian Option: Substitute bacon with a vegetarian alternative or omit entirely for a meatless version.
