Description

A delicious and hearty casserole made with crispy bacon, tater tots, and cheesy goodness.


Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz) bag of frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook Bacon: In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Drain on a paper towel and crumble into pieces.
  3. Mix Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Prepare Casserole: In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the tater tots evenly. Pour half of the soup mixture over the tater tots. Sprinkle with half of the bacon crumbles and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  5. Layer Again: Add another layer with the remaining tater tots, followed by the rest of the soup mixture, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Uncover and Finish Baking: Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
