Instructions
- Cook Sausage: Begin by browning the sausage in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
- Sauté Vegetables: Add chopped onions and peppers, sauté until softened (3-5 minutes).
- Prepare Baking Dish: Grease a large baking dish and layer cubed bread at the bottom.
- Layer in Ingredients: Spread cooked sausage and sautéed vegetables over the bread.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Whisk Eggs: In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Pour Egg Mixture: Carefully pour the egg mixture evenly over all layers in the dish.
- Refrigerate: Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight if preparing ahead.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake: Place casserole in the oven and bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
