Description
Delicious chocolate squares made with milk chocolate chips and Cool Whip, coated in dark chocolate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 11 oz packages milk chocolate chips
- 1 8 oz container Cool Whip, thawed
- 24 oz dark chocolate melting wafers (or use regular milk chocolate if preferred)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
- Place the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1 minute.
- Stir and continue microwaving in 30-second intervals. Make sure to stir after each time, until smooth and fully melted.
- Once melted, allow the chocolate to cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, gently fold the cooled, melted chocolate into the thawed Cool Whip until smooth and evenly combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared dish.
- Freeze for 30 minutes, then remove and cut into 36 small squares.
- Arrange the squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet and place back in the freezer for another 30 minutes.
- Melt the dark chocolate wafers according to the package instructions.
- Using a fork, dip each frozen square into the melted chocolate, making sure it’s fully coated.
- Set the dipped squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet and allow the chocolate coating to harden completely.
- Then the candies are ready to serve and enjoy!
Notes
- For a creamier texture, let the Cool Whip sit out for about 10 minutes before mixing.
- Ensure the chocolate is not too hot when folding into the Cool Whip to prevent melting it.
