These delightful Deviled Egg Christmas Trees are a festive and fun appetizer, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 large Eggs (hard-boiled)
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard (or yellow mustard)
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar (apple cider or lemon juice)
  • to taste Spices (Salt and Pepper)
  • 1/4 cup Herbs (Chives, Parsley, Dill) (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Red Bell Pepper or Pomegranate Seeds (diced tomatoes or olives can be substitutes)
  • 2 pieces Star-shaped Veggies (Yellow Bell Pepper or Cheddar)

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs for about 10-12 minutes until they’re hard-boiled. Cool them under cold water, peel, and carefully slice each egg in half lengthwise.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the egg yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, and seasonings. Stir until creamy and thick enough to be piped.
  3. Fill a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe the yolk mixture into the egg whites to create tree shapes.
  4. Decorate each tree with chopped herbs and add red bell pepper or pomegranate seeds as ornaments. Place a star veggie or cheese on top.
  5. Arrange the Deviled Egg Christmas Trees on a festive platter, garnishing with sprigs of rosemary or edible glitter.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in garlic powder or smoked paprika.
  • Make sure the eggs are fully cooled before peeling to avoid breaking.
