  • 45 cups powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar), sifted
  • 35 tablespoons heavy cream or milk, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Pinch of fine sea salt (for frosting)
  • Gel food coloring (red, green, or desired festive colors)
  • Red, green, and white candy melts (for decorating)
  • Mini candy bows or holiday sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and prepare a baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in granulated sugar.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
