Description

A delicious grilled salmon fillet topped with a rich and creamy mushroom sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon:
    • Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
    • Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Grill the Salmon:
    • Place the salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down.
    • Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked to your liking.
    • Remove from the grill and set aside.
  3. Make the Mushroom Sauce:
    • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until softened and lightly browned.
    • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Create the Cream Sauce:
    • Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine with the mushrooms and garlic.
    • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly (about 5 minutes).
    • Stir in the lemon juice, fresh parsley, and thyme. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serving:
    • Place the grilled salmon on a serving plate.
    • Spoon the creamy mushroom sauce over the salmon.
    • Garnish with additional parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure the grill or pan is hot before adding the salmon to achieve a nice sear.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, allow the cream to reduce further or add a touch of cornstarch slurry.
  • Serve with steamed spinach or your favorite vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Adjust the herbs to your preference, adding more thyme or parsley as desired.
