- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (226g)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Frosting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a heart-shaped baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk flour and baking soda together. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before frosting.
