  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 8 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and brown the sliced sausage.
  2. Add onion, red bell pepper, and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, and crushed tomatoes, stirring to combine.
  5. Add the rotini pasta and press it into the liquid.
  6. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. When the pasta is tender and the sauce is thickened, stir in Parmesan cheese.
