Description
A delicious and hearty pizza bake made with turkey Italian sausage, layers of Folios cheese wraps, and topped with pepperoni and mozzarella.

- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 pkg. (19 oz.) turkey Italian sausage
- 1 jar (13 oz.) Rao’s Pizza Sauce
- 5 Folios Parmesan Cheese Wraps
- 2 cups grated Mozzarella Cheese
- 42 slices Hormel 25% reduced fat pepperoni
- 1 tsp. dried oregano, divided
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 425F/220C. Spray a 9″ X 13″ baking dish with olive oil or non-stick spray.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan and cook the Italian sausage until it’s nicely browned. Use a potato masher to break it apart.
- Add the Rao’s Pizza Sauce or any low-sugar pizza sauce and simmer about 5 minutes, until the sauce has slightly thickened and sausage is flavored with the sauce.
- Cut 5 Folios Cheese Wraps in half, and then arrange them with the straight side along the edge of the baking dish, placing one cut piece covering the middle.
- Spread half the sausage/sauce mixture over the Folios.
- Top that with 1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese.
- Top the cheese with 21 pieces of pepperoni and a generous pinch of dried Greek oregano.
- Make another layer of Folios, followed by sausage/sauce mixture, cheese, pepperoni, and Greek oregano.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the Pizza Bake is bubbling hot and nicely browned.
- Serve the Pizza Bake hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Serve this dish with a side salad for a complete meal.
- For a lower carb option, substitute Folios with low-carb tortillas.
