Description
This strawberry cream cheese frosting is delightful and easy to make, perfect for topping cakes or cupcakes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 cups Powdered sugar
- 1 cup Fresh strawberries (pureed)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp Heavy cream (for extra airy texture)
Instructions
- Soften your cream cheese and butter by letting them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Blend the softened cream cheese and butter in a large bowl using an electric mixer on medium speed until they are fully combined and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Sift in powdered sugar gradually while mixing on low speed to avoid a sugary cloud! Continue blending until you achieve a smooth consistency with no lumps—this should take another 2 minutes.
- Add fresh strawberry puree for that delightful flavor! Blend in about 1/4 cup of puree until it’s evenly distributed, giving your frosting a lovely pink hue.
- Taste your frosting to check the sweetness level; feel free to add more powdered sugar if you prefer it sweeter! Mix again briefly to combine any additional sugar.
- Chill the frosting in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes before spreading it on your favorite cake or cupcakes.
Notes
- This frosting is best used fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For an extra fruity flavor, add more strawberry puree as desired.
