Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices bread (white or whole grain)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a bowl, combine softened butter with minced garlic, dried parsley, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Assemble the Toast: Spread a generous amount of the garlic butter mixture on each slice of bread. Top each slice with shredded mozzarella cheese followed by a sprinkling of grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Place the prepared bread slices on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to give it a spicy kick.
- Use fresh herbs if available for a more vibrant taste. You’ll need about 1 tablespoon of each fresh herb.
- Experiment with different types of cheese like cheddar or gouda for a unique twist.
- To make it extra crispy, broil the toast for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
