Description

Delicious creamy garlic shrimp toast bites perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced into small rounds
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet.
  2. Prepare the Creamy Mixture:

    • In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the minced garlic and Parmesan cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  3. Cook the Shrimp:

    • Heat the olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add the shrimp and cook on each side until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
    • Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  4. Assemble the Toast Bites:

    • Spread a generous spoonful of the creamy garlic mixture onto each slice of baguette.
    • Place one cooked shrimp on top of each baguette slice.
  5. Bake:

    • Place the assembled toast bites in the oven.
    • Bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the edges of the bread are golden and crispy.
  6. Garnish:

    • Sprinkle chopped parsley over the toast bites.
    • Optionally, serve with lemon wedges for an extra zest.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature to ensure easy mixing.
  • For added flavor, marinate the shrimp in a little lemon juice and garlic for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Experiment with other herbs such as dill or chives for a different flavor profile.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture.
