- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup cooked crispy bacon, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1 fresh jalapeño, sliced thinly (optional, for heat)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Phyllo Dough: Lay out the phyllo sheets, keeping them covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out. Take one sheet and brush it lightly with melted butter. Layer another sheet on top and repeat until all sheets are stacked.
- Add Filling: Sprinkle an even layer of shredded mozzarella, crispy bacon, and chopped green onions over the top phyllo sheet. Add jalapeño slices if desired. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll and Seal: Starting from one end, carefully roll the phyllo sheets into a tight log. Brush the seam with melted butter to seal it and also the top of the roll for crispiness.
- Cut and Bake: Slice the roll into 2-inch pieces and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
