Description

A flavorful dish combining shrimp, beef, and noodles with a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 lb beef, cut into small cubes (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 12 oz noodles, preferably egg noodles
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 stalks chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, optional for heat
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine shrimp with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, a dash of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the Noodles: Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and sear until browned on all sides, about 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Cook the Shrimp: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil if needed. Add the marinated shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  5. Sauté Garlic and Combine: In the same pan, lower to medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Return the beef to the pan and add the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a pinch of red pepper flakes if using. Stir to coat the beef. Add the cooked noodles back to the pan, tossing to combine with the beef and sauce.
  6. Finishing Touches: Add the cooked shrimp to the noodles. Sprinkle chopped green onions and fresh parsley or cilantro over the top.
  7. Serve: Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with lime wedges on the side, and enjoy hot.

Notes

  • To enhance the flavor, you can marinate the beef as well with a little soy sauce and pepper.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and soy sauce according to your taste preference.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for more color and texture.
