Description
A flavorful dish combining shrimp, beef, and noodles with a savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp
- 1 lb beef, cut into small cubes (sirloin or ribeye)
- 12 oz noodles, preferably egg noodles
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 stalks chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes, optional for heat
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- Marinate the Shrimp: In a bowl, combine shrimp with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, a dash of salt, and a pinch of pepper. Set aside for 15 minutes.
- Cook the Noodles: Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.
- Prepare the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and sear until browned on all sides, about 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil if needed. Add the marinated shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic and Combine: In the same pan, lower to medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Return the beef to the pan and add the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a pinch of red pepper flakes if using. Stir to coat the beef. Add the cooked noodles back to the pan, tossing to combine with the beef and sauce.
- Finishing Touches: Add the cooked shrimp to the noodles. Sprinkle chopped green onions and fresh parsley or cilantro over the top.
- Serve: Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with lime wedges on the side, and enjoy hot.
Notes
- To enhance the flavor, you can marinate the beef as well with a little soy sauce and pepper.
