A succulent prime rib roast, seasoned to perfection and slow-roasted for a tender and flavorful meal.

- 1 (4-5 lb) Prime Rib Roast
- 4 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary, chopped
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
Instructions
- Remove the prime rib from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Pat the roast dry, rub it with olive oil, then coat generously with Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and rosemary.
- Mix softened butter with minced garlic and chopped rosemary in a bowl.
- Place the seasoned roast in a roasting pan bone-side down and roast for 20 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare (about 1-1.5 hours).
- Allow the roast to rest for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For best results, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
- Letting the roast rest helps to retain its juices.
